I am trying to make a connection backwards from Moses Speer (b. abt 1750-d.1824). He married 2nd Hannah Thomson Lawson(abt 1765-abt 1830)in Jefferson County, Georgia on January 4, 1802. they had 5 children: David b.abt 1805 Hugh Lawson July 20, 1807-Feb 14, 1876 Margaret March 4, 1810-December 25, 1890 Thomas Dixon Feb 14, 1813-December 12, 1882 Elizabeth abt 1816 Thomas Dixon Speer married Mary Adams Johnson (10-1-1829, 7-8-1895), on 5-11-1847. They had five children: Georgia abt 1853 Roger Lawson Speer, born Sept 15, 1858. He married Mattie Rutledge, born abt 1863, in Gwinnett county Georgia on 9-16-1884. They had two sons, Roger L Speer, jr, and William Dixon Speer. Roger L Speer, jr married Sadie Hollis in Atlanta on 8-18-1908. William D Speer married Carrie Mae Henderson in Searcy, White county, Arkansas on 8-10-1915. Lilian abt 1861 James abt 1864 Robert Emmett 1-15-1867, 8-11-1901 Any help in finding the roots of this family would be greatly appreciated. I am happy to share all information now in my possession. |
