| I am in the process of researching my family surname of THOMPSON. They originated from the Sandusky Co., OH and Sandusky (Erie Co.), OH areas. Also included in that list are the surnames of ROWE, STEIN and BRALEY. On my Dad's maternal side we have CHARLES, COX, ABNEY, BARNETT, HAND, and CONNELLY. My maternal line consists of the following surnames: RYAN, O'HERN, WALSH, TROY, TAGGART, SHERLOCK, MULLEN and O'DONNELL. We are also researching my husband's family surname of SPIEGEL, which eventually was changed to the SPEIGLE spelling. They were from Germany and settled in Bucyrus (Crawford Co.), OH and the surrounding areas. |
