Hi, and welcome to the Speidel Miers Family Home Page. My name is Sue and I have just started reseaching my family history. My father's family is mainly from NY; Rochester, Buffalo, and NYC.(Not Yankees! I'll be kicked out of the Daughters of the Confederacy!) These surnames include: SPEIDEL, KEENAGHAN, SHANE, SCHELL(SHEEL), REDDY, BURNS(BYRNES), and LORENZ. My mother's side of the family is all southern. They migrated from Raleigh/Durham, NC; Deridder, LA; and Lenoir,NC, to Johnson City Tennessee. These names include: BRIGGS(NC), BAILEY(NC), MITCHELL(NC), MIERS(LA), LEBOU(NC), and BROWN(TN/NC).
