This is an ongoing project to research the Monroe Family (probably of Lexington, MA), the Balch's of New England and the Spencers of Indiana. Our first known ancestor was Dr. William MONROE 1786 to 1818 who married Harriet THURSTON. His father was a Lemuel Monroe who fought in two wars and had many children. We know nothing else. I am hoping to find a connection between our Lemuel and the Munroes of Lexington since they have a "Lemuel" who fits.

I welcome any input and thoughts.
