Research into family members with surnames of Spinnler, Abeyta, Velasquez, Hardin. Spinnlers originally emigrated to USA from Switzerland. Abeyta and Velasquez from Mexico to the El Paso area and New Mexico. Hardin from Tennessee. As I understand it Abeytas are most prevalent along the Rio Grande starting near Albuquerque. Velasquez mostly settled in the El Paso area and were originally in the grocery business. Hardin arrived in Texas sometime in the early 1900s from Tenn.coming in order to improve his health. He was a Presbyterrian minister and came from a long line of same, at least 3-4 generations previously. You can see I am going to need lots of help and thank you! |
