Kathy's Burch Family Research Page

I am currently researching the family of John C. Commander BURCH, born abt. 1812 in Georgia , died 1858 in Randolph Co. Alabama. He was my g, g, g, grandfather. He married Mary Ann BURROUGHS or BURRIS, born March 1, 1824 in Georgia or the Carolinas, died August 20, 1908 in Cullman County, Alabama. Children are:
Thomas Blanton BURCH (not verified)
Berry BURCH (b. 2 Feb 1845)
James Ceburn BURCH (b 15 Jan 1848)
Edward Anderson BURCH (b 9 Apr 1849) md. Elizabeth TAYLOR (b 19 Nov 1845, died 19 Dec 1904)
Martha Sousan (b 1851 d 1853 buried in Randolph Co. AL)

There is documentation that Berry and James Ceburn were in Company F, 25th Alabama Infantry CSA. Not much information is known about Tom.

The earliest record to date is the 1850 Randolph County Alabama Census that lists John C., Mary Ann, and the three younger boys.
