The Nelda Gilchrist Spires/Marion Mobley Spires Home Page

We are researching the Spires, Mobley, Blanton, Wise, and Jamison Families of South Carolina and North Carolina and the Gilchrist (aka Gilcrease), Hildreth, Cotter, Raynor, and Davis Families of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
We began this project in June of 1997. Much of the information we have obtained was supplied by other family members who obtained it from census records, family Bibles, and anecdotal records. Some information comes from our own personal research of books, documents, and internet sources. Some of the information is incomplete and much of it is unverified (though we are working on documentation), so please do not quote us as authorities.
