George Carpenter was born in 1757 in Dutchess County, New York. He was a Revolutionary War Solider. He died in 1859 in Goodrich, Genesee County, Michigan. His son, William Carpenter, Sr., homesteaded a farm in Goodrich.

Hans Philp Sponseller immigrated from the Palatine to Philadelphia in 1732 on the ship Loyal Judith.
