The search for the Spotswood family from the 13th Century to the present [final years of the 21st Century] has been completed. There remains much to be done to flesh out the connections to other branches of the family, but that could take a lifetime. Hopefully, others searching for their connection to the Spotswoods will find this research of value to their work. This effort was undertaken to fill in the missing links in the Spotswood Genealogy connecting the writer to Alexander Spotswood Governor of Virginia Colony from 1710 to 1722. The missing links alluded to earlier were Alexander Elliott Spotswood, great grandson of the Governor, and his son Alexander Washington Spotswood, who was the first to migrate west of the Mississippi with his family [in 1832].
