| Benjamin Oddy was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, Manchester England about 1809. He died in Portglenore, Ireland. His wife was, I believe, Nancy (Jane) McIntyre. The children were: Richard Oddy, Benjamin Oddy, Caroline Oddy, and Elizabeth Oddy. Benjamin was a private in the British 80th Foot,and was wounded in India, losing an arm. He was awarded a medal, and mustered out. He was given land in Ireland where he settled and raised his family. |
