I am researching the Matisin (formerly Matyisin) Family from Mucsony, Austria. I have traced the Matisins back to John Matisin (the first of 3 that we know about), but I can't find any information on him. I know his son, John F., came to the U.S. in 1901, so his father was obviously in Austria, Hungary, probably under "Janos Matyisin", though I couldn't find any information.

John F. Matyisin's wife is Anna (Contos or Chontos). She came over to the U.S. in 1902 with their daughter, Hermine "Merinin" Matyisin. She is also from Mucsony, Austria, though I could find no other information on her.
