| This Family Tree was started to find out a little about my own ancestors, and to have something to pass on to future generations to show their heritage. I am researching the Bittecuffer(Bitecofer)family. Edward Bittecuffer's parents came from Switzerland. They settled on a farm in Stone Creek, Ohio. Edward was born on Mar. 15, 1867 and married Emma Arvilla Border, Jan. 20, 1871 in Dover, Ohio. They had three children, Walter, Chester and Ruth. (Walter changed the spelling of his surname to Bitecofer.) I am having problems finding any information on Edwards parents. Also, I am researching the Donel family. It is presumed that the Donel ancestors migrated to western Pennsylvania from Donegal, Ireland, and the name was originally O'Donel (or O'Donnell). I am looking for information on David Donel who was born 1830 and married Priscilla Chambers in the 1850's they lived in Pittsburg, PA. On July 23, 1853 their first child, Charles, was born a year later they moved to Wheeling, West Virginia. They had two more sons, John and Alvin.
