19. Appointed Governor of his nephew, Edward of York and was a member of his council. Anthony was executed along with another nephew, Sir Richard Grey on 25 Jun 1483 at Pontefract Castle, Yorkshire.
20. Knighted by King Henry VI in 1426, became 1st Baron Rivers in 1449. Treasurer of England 4 Mar 1466 and created 1st Earl Rivers 24 May 1466. He was at first a Lancastrian then turned Yorkist during the Wars of the Roses. After a Yorkist defeat at Edgecoat Northamptonshire, he and his son John were captured by the Earl of Warwick and executed without trial on 12 Aug 1469.
