He married (1) MARGARET BROMLEY 1458. She died 1469. He married (2) AGNES GROSVENOR June 26, 1470.

Notes for SIR WILLIAM STANLEY:
Became Sheriff of Chester in 1462 and one of the King's Carvers. In 1465, he was made Sheriff for life and continued in that office until 1494. He built the Old Stone Tower of Hooton.

Notes for SIR THOMAS STANLEY:
Second Earl of Derby. Attended King Henry VIII in the French Wars and fought in the Battle of the Spurs in 1513.

Notes for HENRY STANLEY:
Buried at Hillingdon, where in the chancel under the south window there is a fine brass to his memory. This is the effigy of a man in armour with a chain round his neck, supporting a tall cross, with the Arms and Quartering of Stanley. The inscription now lost from the brass is recorded as follows: "Here lies Henry Stanley, esquire, son of Thomas, late Earl of Derby and Anne, Countess of Derby, brother to Edward, Earl of Derby, which Henry deceased 29th day of June AD 1528."

Notes for ROGER STANLEY:
In 1625 he was fined the sum of 10 pounds for not accepting a Knighthood at the Coronation of Charles I.
