David Thomas Starling and Sarah Louisa Sturgis were my GGrandfather and GGrandmother. David was what, in those days, was called a Galvanized Yankee. He served in C.S.A., was captured then was allowed to fight in the "Indian Wars" for the U.S.A in order to get out of a "Yankee" prison in Indinapolis.
