"Lee J. Hagerman TURBOTVILLE -- Lee J. Hagerman, 79, of Turbotville RD 1, died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 1982, in the Williamsport Hospital, where he had been admitted Jan. 31. Mr. Hagerman was a retired farmer. He was a constable in Anthony Twp. for the past 16 years and was a member of the State Constables Assn. Mr. Hagerman was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and its Friendly Men's Bible Class and formerly was a church councilman and church secretary. He was a scoutmaster at Exchange and White Hall for many years. He was a member of California Grange 941, the Milton Moose Lodge and the Hen Pecked Hunting Club, Nordmont, Sullivan County. Born in Anthony Twp., Montour County, Dec. 8, 1902, he was a son of Mahlon A. and Stella Lilley Hagerman. He and his wife, the former Ada U. Becher, observed their 57th wedding anniversary last Sept. 11. Surviving, besides his wife, are four sons, Donald D., Richard E., Jay M. and Robert L., all of Turbotville RD 1; two daughters, Mrs. Miriam R. Simpson, of Turbotville RD 1, and Mrs. Pauline M. Stahl, of Watsontown, 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church on Church Street. Burial will be in Twin Memorial Park, Muncy RD 2. The Rev. Steven E. Caler, his pastor, will officiate. Friends may call at Brook's, 207 Broadway Street, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday."[hagerman update.FTW]
