Notes for John "Wendel" Roesler: "John Wendelin Roester, a native of Germany and subject of the King of Wirtemberg, presented his petition to the Court with Gottlieb Brown & John Moore, citizens of the U.S. as witnessess, and its appearing to the Court that he had declared his intentions before the clerk court of General Quarter Sessions for the city and county of Philadelphia, the first day of October AD 1845 whereupon September 18, 1872 petition read, examined and approved and pettioner admitted a citizen. September 24, 1872. Certificate issued."--Naturaliztion Record at Montour County Pronothary Office, Danville, PA.
