W. Stanley, passed away on
March 20, 2000 at the age of 83 years. He will always remain a strong influence in
the
lives of those he touched.

Louie W. Stanley Sr., Coast Guard retiree
Louie Woodson Stanley Sr., 83, of Dacula died Monday.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hebron Baptist
Church in Dacula, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
Mr. Stanley, a native of Gwinnett County, had retired from
the Coast Guard in 1966 after 30 years of service. He was a member, deacon and
usher captain at Hebron Baptist Church and was a member of the Gwinnett
Historical Society, VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Jerri Amelia Garrison Stanley;
three sons, Tyson Stanley of Owensboro, Ky., the Rev. Woody Stanley of Warner
Robins and Larry Stanley of McDonough; two stepsons, Joe Salas of Lawrenceville
and Gary Majors of Dacula; two sisters, Erminee Cotter of Lilburn and Shirley
Payne of Hartwell; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
