December 23, 1815 in Jackson Co., Ga. (Source: mizzell-sam.FTW.). She was born 1800 in Georgia, and died Bet. 1870 - 1880 in Bibb County, AL (Source: mizzell-sam.FTW.).

Moved to Washington Co., Ala. 1815-1818. Moved to Bibb Co. abt 1818. He received a land grant on the East side of the Cahaba River in Bibb Co. The original document is in the possession of Faye Mizzles Gibson, Flint, Tex. It reads "The NW division of the fraction E of the Cahaba River of sec.28, in township 22 of range 9 in the district of lands subject to sale at Cahaba, Ala. containing 116 60/100 acres. Certificate # 22,210 Recorded in Vol.47 p.386. According to an Act of Congress 24 April, 1820. 10 April,1837." It is signed by President Martin Van Buren and Saml. D. King. This transaction is found in the Old Cahaba Federal Land Office Records in Bk 313 under recording date of 18 April,1836 .

Samuel Stanley may appear on the 1880 Bibb Co., AL census as "Archer" Stanley. An Archer and Elizabeth are in the next dwelling to James Wilson Stanley on this census, as they were in the previous census. If this census is our Samuel Stanley and Elizabeth Perkins, then he is reported as ten years older than he was on other census reports. Elizabeth's age agrees with other census.

5. STEPHEN⁵ STANLEY (SHADRACK⁴, SANDS³, JONATHAN² STANDLEY, GEORGE¹) was born Abt. 1795, and died 1828. He married MARY MOORE, daughter of MOSES MOORE. She was born 1794.

Notes for STEPHEN STANLEY:
The date of birth (1795) for this Stephen Stanley is taken from the Bible of J. W. Stanley. Any date prior to about 1815 would mean that he was born in Georgia. Some researchers have written this Stephen was Jordan's brother, and he was born in Alabama. There are too many problems with that scenario: Shadrack, Jordan's father, was in Georgia until about 1820. So a date of 1795 will not work and birth outside of Georgia will not work. The only known record for this man - Jordan's brother - is the 1836 power of attorney.

Jordan Stanley had a son named Stephen who was born in Georgia in 1805. The date is verified by the 1850 Mississippi census. His marriage to Jane Perkins is recorded in Bibb County, Alabama. There were two men, an uncle and a nephew.
