Notes for JOHN BROWNLEE, SR.: John Brownlee, in company of a band of Presbyterian clansmen migrated to Ireland in order to escape religious persecution in Scotland at that time. They settled near Belfast, and there two sons were born to John - John, Jr. and James.
Eleanor's father was John BROWNLOW (1659-1697) and her husband John's father was William BROWNLOW. Their father (the common grandfather of both Eleanor and John) was Richard BROWNLOW.
