There is a gravestone in Bethel and one in the Buckler Cemetery with the name Amos Stamper. The one in Bethel has the wrong dated, so it belongs to another Amos. The dates in Buckler Cemetery has the right dates and it makes sense that he would be buried there. So until I know different I will believe the latter. Amos m.#1; Mary Abigale Buckler. Marriage records not found. Said to have died in 1913.
Amos m. #2: Grace Kidd Lancaster , Feb. 27,1917(Scioto Ohio Book 19, p.360. Amos gave his age as 43. n Jan.5,1917 was married once before. Grace age 34 on May16,1916. Parents J>S> and M.E. Amos's age on the tombstone is consistant with his age on 1880 cencus. He has misstated his age on this marriage . Grace Lancacter states she was born in Jackson, Ohio, is a shoe worker and her father is willard Kidd; Mother is Alice Jones.
Amos m.#3: Ina Stallard, Sept. 11,1928. Carter Co. Ky. marriage book H.,p.23. Amos states he is 56 born in Carter Co. Ky. , parents J.S. and M.E.. He states he is widowed. Ina Stallard gives her age as 41, parents Joseph Phillips and Willa Duncan
Amos Stamper sued Grace for divorce in Circuit Court Vol. 37, p.98&211 Carter County, Ky. Amos could not prove he was a resident. Case continued.
