I'm just getting started with this *web page* thing but have been *into* genealogy for a long, long time. Most of the surnames listed in the first section below are in my direct line but I've also added a few of my husband's direct line since I'm doing this research for our daughter. ANYONE with information on the BATTIN family in New York State or New Jersey around 1800 PLEASE contact me. I am trying to locate the parents of Rev. John Edmund BATTIN, b. NYC 18 July 1824, d. 5 May 1906 Wethersfield Springs, Wyoming Co., NY. He was married to Lois Ellen MURRAY on 5 Feb 1855. An Episcopal minister for 50 years, Rev. BATTIN served at St. Clement's Episcopal Church in Wethersfield Springs, NY the last 34 years of his life.
