Notes for SR. ISAAC LITTLE, SR.:
The Thigpen Tribe lists Isaac as father of Pleasant, Penelope, Elisha, Isaac, Michael, William Gray, James and maybe others (in that order), but does not mention Jacob.Some of the relationships are supported by other facts. A will was supposedly left, but I have been unable to locate it. The names Jacob, Pleasant, Isaac, Elisha, and Michael or Micah all show up in Anson Co. in the early 1800s and are often involved in deeds together - either as grantor/grantee or witness.
In one deed, Pleasant refers to Elisha as "brother" and Elisha is executor of Pleasant's will in 1832.Jacob sells land twice to Pleasant, witnesses some of his deeds, and witnesses his will, but no family relationship is stated.
The younger Isaac's widow, Delilah Teal Little, states in her warrant application that Isaac's brother Jacob wrote the names of her first 4 children in the family bible.The last 4 names were written by Daniel Fones who is mentioned as an adjacent property owner in Micah's first land transaction in Anson Co. in 1808.
Jacob and Isaac appeared in Anson Co. about the same time (1796) and bought land very near each other.Micah and Pleasant stayed in Pitt Co. for about 10 more years and showed up in Anson Co. deeds about the same time (1808).
Assume he was at least 21 when he was named executor of his father's will in 1756.

In April 1755, Isaac Little and Jacob Little filed suits against John Atkinson (of Spring swamp).The case was continued.
In the 1762 and 1763 tax lists for Pitt Co., Isaac Little was listed as the taxpayer.He also paid tax for James Little.
In May of 1755, Isaac and Jacob Little were represented in their suit against Atkinson by an attorney.While certainly not proof that they moved, this may be an indication.

They cite the will of Michael Little in Edgecombe Co. in 1825, but that Michael left property to his father and Isaac was deceased long before then.Thus, it is improbable that it is the same person. There is evidence linking Micah/Michael of Anson Co. to Pleasant and Isaac Little. Michael was in census for Anson in 1810 and 1820.A younger Micah appears in 1840. Michael Little sells land in Anson Co. in 1829. Michael sold 200 acres to Duncan McRae. The sale was witnessed by Elisha Little. The first mention of Micah in Anson Co. was this 1808 deedfor land adjacent to Daniel Fones and witnessed by Isaac Little and J. Sherwd Auld. Also called Michael in various documents. Dot Little has date of death Est.. at Abt. 1826.Jane M. Lindsay has the death 1825. |

Assuming he was at least 20 when he witnessed a deed, along with William Moring, in 1787, he would have been born before 1767.He could have been as young as 16 or much older. |
