| I am researching my wife's family and ancestors. They are the Byrne and Green families from Carlow, Co. Carlow in the Republic of Ireland.Paddy (Patrick) Byrne is from Ballybrophy and his son, Michael, married Elizabeth Nolan and lived in Carlow. They were born in the 1890's, Nora dying in 1933 and Michael in 1946.Michael's sister, Mary Byrne, emigrated from Ireland to the USA around the end of WW1 in 1918.On the Green side, Patrick married Dora (surname unknown), probably in the early 1900's and their family were brought up in Carlow. Unfortunately, little else is known of their ancestors.Any information that can be offered would be enthusiastically received and acknowledged. |
