DEDICATION
This website is dedicated in loving memory of my father, Virgle Ray Williamson. He was born & raised in Simpson County, MS. After graduating from Mendenhall High School he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and in 1954 he married, my mother, Mary Eloise Martin from Magee, MS. They were happily married until his death in 1987. My dad is buried next to his parents, W. D. & Ruby (Mangum) Williamson, in the Mendenhall Cemetery, in Mendenhall, MS.

RECOGNITION
Many thanks to all the wonderful people, who I've met through genealogy on the Internet. Phyllis Blount, Herbert Cook, Deborah Dickson, Johanna Dukes, Dickie Grubbs, Dr. John T. Palmer, and Don Runnels just to name a few. I hope that along the way, I have given back just a little of what I have received.

SURNAMES
My parents were born & raised within 20 miles of each other in Mendenhall & Magee, Mississippi, so most of my research is concentrated in Simpson & Smith Counties.

Paternal surnames include: Brewer, Brown, Finch, Kennedy, Jones, Mangum, May, Patterson, Runnels, Williamson, Youngblood

Maternal surnames include: Brewer, Campbell, Cook, Currie, Fletcher, Grant, McKay, McNair, Martin, Miley, Robinson, Walker, Wyatt

My husband's family comes from Mahanoy City, PA, by way of Germany & Poland. I have very little information on them. The surnames include: Grzech, Kozak, Liwiec, Orzech, Stephan
