The Steele Family of Lancaster, South Carolina Updated May 30, 2008

This is a continuation of the research done by Mrs. Leta Little Moore in the early 1930's. Some of the Steeles moved out west and settled in Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.These were Mrs. Moore's ancestors. Their brother Francis was my great-grandfather five times removed. Thanks to Robert Young of Columbia, a distant cousin, who continues to go out west and provide DOB and DOD dates for me.
