Francis Thomas ARGUS (b. 18 Jan 1850, d. 18 Nov 1926)

Francis Thomas ARGUS (son of Thomas ARGUS and Edith Veale COLE) was born 18 Jan 1850 in Newlands Vic , and died 18 Nov 1926 in Atherton Queensland. He married Lydia Arnold on 1878 in Naygarandth Victoria, daughter of David Arnold and Sarah Watts.

Notes for Francis Thomas ARGUS:
Prior to his marriage, Francis Argus was a grazier at Pomborneit, between Colac & Camperdown, with his father Thomas and brother John. He moved to Devenish arournd 1875 wher he took up a selection adjoining that of his father. In 1880, he subscribed towards the building of the Waggarandall Bible Christian Church [now Uniting Church] and was a trustee of the church at one time.
Records of the St James National Bak indicatethat Francisopened a account there on the 6/7/1885. He sold his property in 1889 and relinquished farming altogether in 1889.
