Mrs. Barnhill was born in Marion County on Dec. 3, 1893, a daughter of the late John and Julia Ann Cook Coates. For the past 24 years she had made her home with her daughter an son-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Charlie Tyler, living in Charleston for the past 5 years. Her husband the late Mr. Barnhill died July 21, 1936. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Charlie (Doshia) Tyler of Charleston; a brother M.
