Jacob & Johanna (Stäben) Stehbens after migrating to Maryborough followed the gold fever, trying luck on the Pine Creek goldfield south of Darwin, before sailing to South Australia, settling at Edithburgh on the Yorke Peninsula. The South Australian Stehbens sub-clan emanate from there. There are about 250 descendants of Jacob. Among them are the Great Grandchildren of Enid Vera Stehbens and Wesley John Parslow who include Abby, Jarrad and Ryan Mortimer. This photo was taken in 1996. Since then Ryan has developed a notable dance and choreography career, including dancing for Opera Australia.
