Robyn Brumpton's outstanding Nursing Achievements
Robyn (nee Stehbens) Brumpton has been recognized for significant achievement, innovation and leadership in nursing. During 2003, West Moreton Area Health Services nominated and highly commended for her work in Infection Control while she was a Clinical Nurse at Ipswich Hospital with responsibility for Infection Control both within the Hospital and within the community. The presentation of her award was made by Mrs Myrtle Green, Chairperson, West Moreton District Health Council. Subsequently, Robyn served in the Queensland Health Department head office, Brisbane , having responsibility for infection control across the different spheres of nursing. On 17 April 2004, Griffith University conferred on Robyn the degree of Master of Health Science. Her dissertation concerned the reported practices of infection control in aged care facilities, including nursing homes, in Queensland. Currently, Robyn is based at St George Hospital, SW Queensland.
