Beate Stebens, son Philipp and husband Maik Meier hosted the reuniting of three Stebens clans descended from the Stebens of Blücher in their Blücher home, 10 May 2005. L-R: Maik Meier, Philipp Meier, Beate Stebens, Werner Stebens, Ian Stehbens from Australia, Otfried Steben from Bad Doberan, Germany. This was a night to be remembered! Beate and Maik hosted a wonderful German dinner to celebrate this significant occasion, Philipp enjoyed his role as translator, Beate's Dad, Werner Stebens, produced a collection of historic family photos and Otfried Steben greatly enjoyed the occasion, though wishing that his Great-Great-Great Grandfather Johann Steben(s) could be proven from records to be Johann Steben(s) who was born in Blücher. Beate now has a framed collage of the first Australian Stehbens family hanging in her Blücher home. Maik is an Electrician; Beate is a childcare worker, and they have enjoyed holidays in Egypt.
