When William Yocum died, the Bodinsons had taken care of Mary Jane and Mina.

Letter on Chicago Gum and Candy Company paper 5/24/23 F.P. Bodinson, Sec'y and Treas.

Dear Aunt Mary,
I called at the office of the American Bored and Mf. Co. yesterday and exchanged your securities as per enclosed statement.
The Grairs Burds were called in and you will note on the statement that you incured in addition to the interest $12.80, a bonus of $12.00. This Hitchcock note I concluded to trade in as it does away with the small perporment each year of $100. Instead of putting money in you will note by the statement that there was a balance due you, to earn accrued interest, of $53.39 and I incloss my check for this amount.
I just called Mina up on the telephone to explain this to her but I guess she is not in as no one answered the phone. You will have to change your cards to correspond with the statement which shows the securities now owned by you.
Everybody as usual - Still cold here.
            Love to you all
                  Your Nephew Fred
