JAMES STEVENSON, II (71.4) is the son of James Stevenson and Sarah (Kelly) Stevenson. James was born on May 27, 1760 in Maryland. On September 1, 1781, James Stephenson, II married Jane Stevenson. Jane is the daughter of John Stevenson. According to the 1892 sketch, Jane had a brother, John Stevenson, and that Jane’s mother was a Thompson whose family moved to Georgia after the Revolutionary War. James Stevenson, II entered land above Cowans or the South Yadkin River in 1777.
