2. JOHANN ADAM² ELLRICH (JOHANN NICOLAU¹) was born May 13, 1796 in Oberaula/Churhessisch, Germany, and died November 18, 1862 in Ilsdorf, Germany. He married ANNA ELIZABETHA THEISS August 30, 1819. She was born January 23, 1797, and died April 20, 1866 in Ilsdorf, Germany.

Notes for JOHANN ADAM ELLRICH:
An 1824 record lists him as a master mason in Ilsdorf, county of Alsfeld, Germany. johann received exemption documents dated 6-20-1819 at Darmstadt and dated 6-29-1819 at Giessen to avoid mandatory military duty. According to the Hessen-Darmstadt Dept. of Interior in 1825 Johann and his wife and 3 children intended to immigrate from Ilsdorf to Brazil. it is unknown why they did not make the move.

He fell into a water tank and drowned.

HE LIVED IN BEARDSTOWN, ILLINOIS AND WAS THE FATHER OF TWO CHILDREN. HE SPELLED HIS LAST NAME ELLERICH. He served in the Illinois militia. He owned 160 acres of land.
