Gordon Pace of Canada notes that "the Palmer family moved from Wellington to High Ercall/Ercall Magna, between 1631 & 1632 - -- Wellington, Wrockwardine, Rodington, and High Ercall are within walking distance; the longest distance, about 6 miles. Since each had a parish church, this indicates the walking that must have gone on in the era of our ancestors."
