| I am presently trying to verify the name John Steiner, born abt. 1818 in Alsace-Lorraine,Germany, arrived in Erie, PA in 1868 with five children; Louise E, Ferdinand, Lizzy (Elizabeth), William J. & Augusta L.I have found no evidence of a wife arriving with this family. William J Steiner. I can certify as my great grandfather. I have since been able, through marriage licenses to determine with certainty that Louise E. Steiner married a Frederick G. Hartline, Ferdinand (at some point in time was addressed as Fred Steiner),married Anna Hagman Parker,Augusta L. Steiner married Wm. J Ackerman( the brother of my g.grandfathers wife. Have not found anything on Elizabeth (Lizzy) Steiner as yet. Other names of association are; Myers, Hahn, Knight, Bretz, Marklow, Loesel & Sipple. Other family names (my wife's side) I am searching include Ziesler(Zeisler); Schlindwein, Williams, Yentch, & Coles. Any & all help would be appreciated. |
