NEW INFO AS OF 21 AUGUST 2003 My grandmother, Hattie Myrtle Breeding, died 20 August 2003 in Temple, Texas. She was 92. NEW INFO AS OF 9 AUGUST 2003 Have been very busy last few years, starting a new practice, met a wonderful woman to whom I am now married. Her name is Polly Stevens. We have moved and our new address is listed at the side. Haven't made any progress on genealogy, but hope I will be able to get back on track soon. NEW INFO AS OF 19 Sept 1998 I am also searching for Breeding family members, including Charles Deering Breeding, 1872, KY; James W. Breeding, 1860, KY. ********OLD INFO**************** I am beginning research on my family tree. I have already identified a World Family Tree pedigree, #5737, from WFT Volume 3 as being one that contains my great-great-grandfather and many ancestors. I am interested in broadening my family tree from there. If you have any information regarding individuals in that pedigree, please contact me via e-mail. I am searching for information about ancestry of the following people: Calvin Stevens (10-24-1820 - 5-29-1853) Joseph Freeman Stevens (11-25-1847 - 12-23-1918) Calvin Early Stevens (2-25-1881 - 3-14-1939) Joseph Robert Stevens, a.k.a Joe Bob Stevens (abt. 1905 to abt 1948) Joe Milton Stevens (18 March 1933--13 February 1999) Scott K. Stevens (1960--)(me) I am also searching for information on the Remy and Oxford families in Arkansas. Much of the information I have been given has been provided in a sort of homemade book put together by Curtis Joy Stevens with a forward by R.C. Stevens, my uncle. It is only current as of about 1979. The book overlaps with the 5737 pedigree by two generations and then comes forward to my generation. Other surnames of Stevens descendants include Eaves, Rodgers, Phifer, Dowell, Howell, Greiner, Lethcoe, Robinson, McCormick(around Dimmitt, Texas), Mankins, and Jaeger. These families mainly come from Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Ancestors include Wooldridge, Lovelace and Linder, from Virginia, and North Carolina. Any information that anyone has would be helpful and greatly appreciated. |
