Samuel Allen Emery was born 20 Sep 1840 in New York state. He was a banker, merchant and County Treasurer of Marshall County, Iowa. He served in the Civil War in Company A, 22nd Wisconsin Infantry. He lived in New York, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, and Texas. He died 26 Nov 1900 in Beaumont, Texas, and is buried in Liscomb, Iowa.
