Born 28 Apr 1835 in South Carolina, Harriet married Andrew Boyd Coffey in Lafayette County, Mississippi on 17 Aug 1851. She bore 11 children and had several brothers who served in the Confederate Army. Family legend says she made the flag carried by the First Mississippi Regiment in the War Between the States.
