[p.108] Mrs. Edith Mariem Palmer Hart. DAR ID Number: 64315 Born in Walden, N. Y. Wife of James Allen Hart, Jr. Descendant of Sergt. Jesse Jennings. Daughter of Richard H. Palmer and Anna C. Dickinson, his wife. Granddaughter of Hunter Richard Palmer and Catherine Jennings (b. 1814), his wife. Gr-granddaughter of Jesse Jennings and Jane Davis, his 2nd wife. Jesse Jennings (1759-1847) served as sergeant in Col Jacobus Van Schoonhaven's regiment, New York troops. He died in Tarrytown, N. Y., and is buried in Sleepy Hollow cemetery. Note: According to all census information for Jesse Jennings in Mt. Pleasant (very close to Tarrytown), Westchester, he was not born yet at the time of the war. There may have been a misread digit, so that perhaps the date of birth was 1789, not 1759.
