| My name is Paul Russell St. Lawrence and I have been researching the St. Lawrence family. My grandfather was Wilfred Ernest Hugh Tristram St. Lawrence. It is believed he was born at Howth Castle around 1867 in Dublin, Ireland. My father believes he lived in the Pale and went to Winchester or Westchester College in England. He was a civil engineer who left Ireland prior to 1900 and entered the US in Norfolk, Va. My father indicated that his father may be listed under the Gaisford family tree and that my grandfather had an Aunt Enid. My grandfather's father, W. E. T. St. Lawrence, (maybe Wilfred Ernest Tristram) was believed to have served in the military which could have been Irish or English, stationed in Ireland. My grandfather's mother was Alice Barney who was believed to be the niece of the Earl of Howth. If anyone is of the St. Lawrence lineage or has any information that may be helpful to me, please contact me. |
