Notes for JAMES HARBERT CAPPS:
After marriage, Harbert and Fronie moved to Milan, Tennessee and lived in a boarding house owned by Mrs. Cole. They later moved to rooms in the Flippen house. In 1927, moved to Weakley County to the Bates house (grandmother's relatives?). In February 1929, moved to Lansing, Michigan to work during the Depression in auto factories. Moved back to Tennessee in July 1931 to Mitchell house. Other residences after that include: December 1931, John Featherston farm; January 1933, Ed Featherston farm; January 1935, John Featherston farm again; January 1937, Tom Capps farm; February 1942, back to Milan and worked at Milan Arsenal weapons plant during World War II; December 1945, bought Connell farm and moved to Bradford; May 1954, bought Rochelle house in Bradford; November 29, 1955, bought Baker house and moved day after Thanksgiving and had a large fruit and vegetable garden; August 10, 1977, moved to 3313 Frayser View in Memphis. Lived at Mid-South Christian Nursing Home in Memphis after a stroke and passed away in 1981. Information from Fronie's notes.

39. CALLIE PEARL⁵ CAPPS (CALTON TRAVIS⁴, WILLIAM ALEXANDER³, WILLIAM ROGERS², CASON¹) was born September 26, 1890, and died December 1968. She married JOHN LOGAN ARGO, son of EMERSON ARGO.

Notes for CALLIE PEARL CAPPS:
It was when the Post Office was established that a petition was submitted to the U.S. Government Postal Department to officially name the settlement "Peck�s Station", in honor of Mr. Peck the proprietor of the general store. The Postal Department declined to accept "Peck�s Station", replying that a Post Office by that name already existed in Tennessee. Then Callie Pearl Capps wrote the Postal Department saying she thought the Post Office should be named "Logan". Miss Capps was engaged to Mr. Logan Argo at the time and later married him. Peck�s Station or Flytown was now known officially as Logan, Tennessee. The Post Office was located in the rear section of Peck�s General Store and existed for only two years. Miss Frances Cochran was the Postmaster, she was a crippled lady who later married Matt Austin. Ike Mitchell carried the mail by mule to and from Greenfield.
