Go to my related links below for much information on the "Southern" part of Weakley County.
I have been researching the early settlers of the southern portion of Weakley County Tennessee for several years. Part of the area was in Gibson County prior to 1837. The area also includes the northwestern portion of Carroll County, Tennessee. My STOUT surname links to Richard and Penelope STOUT of New Jersey. There are interesting stories about them in the 1600's that can be read under the link to the (Descandants of John Stout). Francis STOUT migrated to this area about 1843 from NC. All of the STOUT'S of Weakley County are his descandants. All of the Descendant names listed below are online at the Weakley County Tennesse GenWeb page. Some of the other links are about the history of these families and this area as well as some of my writings and family information. I will be glad to share information I have on any of these families.
Be sure and check out all my links on other early settlers of South Weakley County as well as photo albums and information.
