THE DESCENDANTS OF [WILLEM?] KLINCKENBERG

82. HENRY C.7 CLINKENBEARD (ISAAC6, WILLIAM5, WILLIAM4, JOHN3, WILLEM2 KLINCKENBERG, [WILLEM?]1) was born 1808 in Kentucky601, and died Unknown. He married LOUISA ELIZABETH BILYEU about 1824602, daughter of ISAAC BILYEU and MARY (WORKMAN). She was born 1813 in Overton County, Tennessee602, and died Unknown.

Notes for H
ENRY C. CLINKENBEARD:
Was Henry a son of John Clinkenbeard Jr and Mary "Polly" Carter? "Henry," the Christian name of Mary Carter's father, here makes its first appearance in the Clinkenbeard line. On the other hand, Vera M. Leisure[a] assigns Henry as a son of Isaac Clinkenbeard and Sarah Pullen, who are commonly believed not to have had any children. Is it likely that Henry was in fact a son of Isaac Clinkenbeard, born 8 April 1787 at Constant's Station, Boone County, Kentucky, the son of William Clinkenbeard and Mary Mooney? Another source reports that Henry and his family "were Chickamauga Cherokee" Indians.[a] Henry and his wife Elizabeth Louisa Bilyeu were both buried in Leonard Cemetery, Stone County, Missouri.[a]
The 1830 U.S. Census shows the family living in Sangamon Co., Illinois:[b] MALES: 1 under five (b.1825-30); 1 aged 5-10 (b.1820-25); 1 aged 20-30 (b.1800-10) [HENRY].FEMALES: 1 under 5 (b.1825-30); 1 aged 15-20 (b.1810-15) [ELIZABETH].
In 1840, the Census showed the family living in Richwoods Township, Miller Co., Missouri:[c] MALES: 1 under 5 (b.1835-40); 1 aged 10-15 (b.1825-30); 1 aged 40-50 (b.1800-10) [HENRY]. FEMALES: 1 under 5 (b.1835-40); 2 aged 5-10 (b.1830-35); 2 aged 10-15 (b.1825-30); 1 aged 20-30 (b.1810-20) [ELIZABETH].
By 1850, the family were living in Prairie Township, Carroll Co., Arkansas:[d]

According to children's birthplaces, family was living in Tennessee in 1828, in Illinois from 1830 to 1833, in Missouri in 1835, in Arkansas in 1837, back to Missouri from 1840 to 1844, and then in Arkansas again from 1848 through 1850. More peripatetic Clinkenbeards!
Edmund Peck includes in his GEDCOM the following in his notes for Henry:
"Marriage mentioned in letter from Mildred Roden, Cassville, Mo., to Carroll Co. Historical Soc. concerning the Bilyeu Family in that County. Examined [letter] dated 4 Apr 1977."[e]

Notes for L
OUISA ELIZABETH BILYEU:
Edmund Peck states in his Notes:
"Listed as Elizabeth with Henry Clinkenbeard and ten children in 1850 CENSUS CARROLL CO,AR; PRAIRE TWP; FAMILY 458", MICROFILM, AT NATIONAL ARCHIVES, TAKEN 4 OCT 1850. Her marriage is listed in LDS-AF as Louisa Bilyeu to Henry in Carolton, Carroll Co., AR abt 1833. I personally doubt the source on this information (the date and place). Their child, Isaac, was born abt 1828 in TN. Information on Elizabeths parents and sibling comes from a letter dated 04 April 1977 from Mildred Roden of Cassville, MO, to the Carroll Co. Hist. Soc. in Arkansas.
