  Dr. Stoner graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1912, in medicine. He settled in Bedford Valley, PA in 1913, served two years in World War I, and spent 10 months in France and saw service in the Battle of Meuse-Argonne Drive and earned the rank of Major and discharged in June, 1919.
