I have just started to look into the background of my family. As a child we were always taught never to ask personal questions of adults, so we didn't, then i moved to Australia with my husband and after having our two sons realised that their history is a very important factor in their young lives, especially being descendants from England and living in Australia, I want the boys to know and learn about their heritage. So I found this site and started to make enquires within the family, I just received a letter from my Grandfather with lots of information on it and he mentioned that his cousins son had since immigrated to Australia a while back and his name was Tom Newsome and lived in Northam, well Northam isn't that far away from us so I phoned directories and yes there was a listing, so I called. It was great to know I had a realation not 200km's from me and I thought they were all 15000 kms away. Since talking to Tom, I have learned so much and we are to hook up and continue to pass notes on the family tree, i will keep you all updated.
