OHN PIKE:
From: "First Settlers of Ye Plantations of Piscataway and Woodsridge Olde East New Jersey, part 5" page 755.

JOHN PIKE JR., CAPTAIN JOHN PIKE'S son, was not nearly so prominent a man as his father in Woodbridge history, and yet he occupied a certain position there which left its imprint upon the citizenship of his time by his character and industry. He and his father got into some litigation over the presumed theft of some articles from one of the neighbors, which placed the family under a cloud for a period, but from which they emerged triumphant, so that the Pike character was sustained with even more positiveness on that account. John Pike Jr. was married at Woodbridge, February 2, 1675, to SARAH STOUT, daughter of RICHARD OF MIDDLETOWN, and they had the following children:

(Vide, ante, PART FOUR, p. 623.)

I. John, born April 9, 1677, died May 14,
1677.
II. Sarah, born January 15, 1678-9, died
December 17, 1681.
III. Joseph, born, October 13, 1680, died
December 28, 1680.
IV. John, born December 5, 1681.
V. Joseph, born October 24, 1683; married
Elizabeth Frazee, December 27, 1716.
VI. Sarah 2nd, born October 17, 1686; died
before 1714; married John Corbitt, September
28, 1703.
VII. Mary, born November 9, 1687; married
Richard Cutter August 20, 1706.
VIII. Hannah, born December 16, 1689.
IX. Zebulon, born August 17, 1693; died
February 6, 1763.
X. Penelope, born (???), died (???).

JOHN PIKE JR. died August 13, 1714, and was buried in Woodbridge Cemetery, and his age is marked as seventy-five, which would make his birth in 1639, which does not correspond with other records.

This JOHN PIKE left a will dated December 3, 1711, which was proved November 18, 1714. In it he names his wife Sarah, who evidently survived him, and his children: John, Zebulon, Joseph, Hannah and Penelope. It also mentions his son-in-law, Richard Cutter, Obadiah Ayers, and also his cousin, Nathaniel Pike. Among the witnesses to the will was his brother, Thomas Pike. The widow, Sarah Pike, died in 1714, and left a will dated November 18, 1714, and proved December 29, 1714, in which she mentions her children: John, Mary Cutter, Penelope, Hannah, Zebulon and Joseph. The executors named were her son Zebulon and brother-in-law, THOMAS PIKE

10. JONATHAN3 STOUT (RICHARD2, JOHN1) was born 1658 in Gravesend, LI, NY, and died Bef. 25 Mar 1723 in Hopewell, Hunterdon, NJ. He married ANNA BOLLEN 27 Aug 1685 in Middletown, Monmouth, NJ, daughter of JAMES BOLLEN and ANNE VAUQUELLIN. She was born Abt. 1665 in England, and died Abt. 1749.

Notes for J
ONATHAN STOUT:
When the Baptist Church in Columbia Village, Hopewell Township, NJ was organized in 1715, Jonathan and his family accounted for 13 of the 15 members. The church was held at Jonathan's home and then at other Stout homes for about 41 years. From first to last, half the members were Stouts - 200 of that name being added in those 41 years - besides all the Stout family members with other surnames. The two deacons and four elders in the first church building were Stouts. Zebulon and David (grandsons of Richard Stout through Jonathan Stout) were two of it's main pillars. David lived to see 117 offspring.

Jonathan Stout, the Hopewell pioneer, died in 1723, and in his will proved March 25, 1723, he bequeathed to his two youngest sons, Samuel and David, (who were at that time aged 14 and 17 respectively) the tract on which Jonathan resided at the time of his death. This was the tract lying south of the Col. Joseph Stout farm, now George E. Weart's, and extended south about one mile along the Province line, and west to the mountain road. This tract now includes the farms of P. W. Sheppard, Harry Van Dyke, David Moore, Miss Sarah Stout, Peter O. Voorhees, and the northern half at least of the David Stout and Amos Bond farms. The will states that these two sons were left "one full equal undivided sixteenth part of a proprietary," and one standing on the hill near Mr. George E. Weart's dwelling and viewing this whole tract spread out like a panorama at his feet can but exclaim in admiration, "What a magnificent inheritance was theirs!"

  vii.   ANNE STOUT, b. 1704; m. NEHEMIAH BONHAM; b. Abt. 1703.
  Notes for NEHEMIAH BONHAM:
Nehemiah Bonham, son of Hezekiah Bonham senior, b. about 1703, the second son of his second wife, and number two of the "iah" Bonhams was like his brother, Hezekiah Bonham, Junior, a citizen of Hopewell Township, Mercer County, where in 1722 he was plainly listed as a Hopewell tax payer:

The first wife of Nehemiah Bonham was Ann Stout, b. 1704, who was the third daughter of Jonathan2 (Richard1) Stout, and wife, Anne Bollen (Stout Gen., p. 14). (See Hist. and Gen. Misc. by Dr. John E. Stillwell, 1916, p. 332). However, Dr. Stillwell is in error in thinking that Anne (Stout) Bonham had a child when 60 years of age. He is confused because Nehemiah Bonham had a second wife named Elizabeth Martin, (dau. of Benjamin), who bore him that daughter, Anne
