| I am researching the STOUT family that goes back to Richard STOUT who came from England around 1640 and later settled in New Jersey. I am also researching the SIMONDS family from my great grandmother Abbey SIMONDS of Bridgewater, Ohio around 1850 back to William SIMONDS who came from England around 1635 and settled in Massachusetts. Surnames and Places of my direct lines include, but are not limited to STOUT, DAVISON, MEIER, VARNER, DRAKE, MERRILL, SIMONDS, ELLIS, HOUGHTON, and ABBE surnames in England, MA, NJ, NY, MI, OH, KS, MO. I have been adding information on other STOUT and allied lines that are connected to John STOUT from Nottinghamshire, England, the father of Richard Stout. I would love to hear from anyone who needs additional information on the names found here or from anyone who has additional information that disputes, changes, or expands the information I have here. Much of this information is unproven, so use it with that in mind. For those who have sent me information that is not in this data, I have a very large pile of paper that I am trying to go through and update my information.
