I am researching the Albert Micajah Strickland Family from Griffin, Spalding County.It is told that he came to Griffin from South Ga, Camden county.He was born April 27, 1891 but moved to Griffin for his church.He helped start the Church of Christ on Hill Street in Griffin.He was married toWillie Clyde Allen and had 4 sons and 2 daughters. The sons are: Lewis, J.Paul or "nig", Hall Larry and William "Bill" Strickland, the two sister are Mary Strickland and Betty Strickland.Albert is my grandfather and remarried Eva L. Sanders from middle Ga, near or close to Manchester, Ga.She died May 20, 1978.Albert M. Strickland's parents were Albert Clayton "Charlie or Charles" Strickland andBetty Baulk or 'P'aulk.Willie Clyde Allen, my grandmother's parents were John W. Allen, born February 1, 1858, died, August 7, 1919 and Willie Blanche Reeves, born October 7, 1870, died September, 2, 1902 both born in Spalding county. John W. Allen's father was John E. Allen born about 1833, died November 2, 1887, John W. mother was Mary Elizabeth Wiggins, born about 1834 in Henry county, died January 1903 Spalding county.Mary E. Wiggings father was Christopher H.
