Dentist Dies At Fremont
C. A. Patterson, 60, Was Former Mayor
FREMONT-Dr. Clarence A. Patterson, 60, Fremont dentist for 32 years and mayor here in 1951-52, died Thursday at his home. A native of Casnovia, Dr. Patterson grew up in Grant. He attended Western Michigan University and graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1931. At the time of death he was chairman of Branstrom Park Commission here. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crandell & Ensing Funeral Home, with burial in Ashland Center Cemetery. Surviving ate his widow, Leone; daughters,. Mrs. Wayne Christenson, Parma; Miss Linda of Seattle, Wash., and Miss Mary at home; sisters, Mrs. Ethel Wolff, Mrs. Al Erhardt, Mrs. Clarence Shing and Mrs. Vern Cole, all of Grant; Mrs. Robert Mahassa of Newaygo and Mrs. Betty Thompson of Muskegon; brother, Ernest of Newaygo, and two grandchildren.
